Board Positions Defined

*President- Oversees all chapter business. Conducts and attends monthly Board meetings and member luncheons. Attends several leadership meetings each year throughout the country. Two-year total committment.

*Vice President- Fills in for President to conduct meetings and attend quarterly leadership meetings. Chairs annual Trade Show. Two-year total committment.

Immediate Past President- The most recent Chapter President stays on the Board for an additional year to advise on all matters and guide the new President. Automatic post-President assignment. Optional meeting attendance.

*Treasurer- Tracks chapter expenditures, prepares quarterly financial statements, processes checks for Board member expense reports. Two-year commitment.

*Secretary- Provides Agendas and takes and distributes notes at monthly meetings. Two-year commitment.

*Programs & Education- Researches and schedules educational speakers for monthly luncheons, communicates chapter events to GBTA and relevant educational articles and opportunities out to membership. Two-year commitment.

*Membership- Leads membership drive initiatives, prepares and hosts registration table at monthly luncheons, sends renewal reminders. Two-year commitment.

Government Relations- Communicates relevant information on travel-related government initiatives, represents chapter at annual lobbying trip to DC, leads government-related funding goals and initiatives. Two-year commitment.

*Technology- Manages chapter website, including publishing chapter events and trouble-shooting website related issues. Two-year commitment.

*Sponsorships- Markets the opportunity of luncheon sponsorship and secures host venue and financial sponsor for monthly networking luncheons, coordinates meeting space detail with host venue. Two-year commitment.

Communications-  Sends out chapter communication as necessary, including monthly Newsletters, sharing industry communication, managing social media website, etc. Two-year commitment
